LeadLocator - Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about LeadLocator's website visitor tracking, pricing, data privacy, and integrations.

What is LeadLocator and what does it do?

LeadLocator is a powerful tool designed to help businesses turn their website traffic into actionable leads by identifying the physical addresses of their website visitors. It utilizes advanced browser technology and geocoding to analyze anonymized data and convert it into real-world locations.

How does LeadLocator identify physical addresses from website visitors?

LeadLocator uses a small tracking script that you embed in your website's code. When a visitor arrives, the script requests permission to access their location. If the user consents, it analyzes the available location data, sends it to a geocoding algorithm, and returns a physical address.

What specific information does LeadLocator provide about each lead?

LeadLocator provides page visit data, session duration, and traffic source for all visitors. For consenting visitors, you can configure Full Address, Postcode & Town, or City Level Only detail. Agency plan users also access advanced analytics and AI insights.

What types of businesses benefit most from using LeadLocator?

While any business can benefit, LeadLocator is particularly effective for B2C businesses. A local cleaning company could use high-intent website visit data to send personalized direct mail, or a retailer could measure the effectiveness of local marketing campaigns.

What is the typical match rate for website visitors to physical addresses?

The tracking script collects basic anonymous details from every visitor. For geolocation and address matching, the success rate depends on visitor consent. On average, you can expect a match rate of 5-15%.

How do I install the LeadLocator script on my website?

You can install the tracking script manually by adding it to your website's code, or use Google Tag Manager. Detailed instructions are provided during onboarding. Tracking begins as soon as the script is live.

Is LeadLocator compatible with my website platform (e.g., WordPress, Shopify)?

Yes, LeadLocator is compatible with any website platform that allows custom code in the <head> section or supports Google Tag Manager.

Is LeadLocator compliant with data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA?

LeadLocator is designed to comply with GDPR and CCPA. It only processes address-level data where lawful consent has been obtained. The platform does not collect personally identifiable information such as names or email addresses.

What are the key differences between the Starter, Professional, and Agency plans?

Starter (£29.99/month): 1 included domain, 25 matched addresses per month, CSV export, analytics dashboard. Professional (£69.99/month): 1 included domain, 100 matched addresses, everything in Starter plus map view and advanced analytics. Agency (£199.99/month): 10 included domains, 500 matched addresses, everything in Professional plus priority support. Extra domains are £10/month each on any plan. Credit bundles (£59.99–£599.99) are available for additional addresses.

What happens if I exceed the monthly limit of matched addresses?

You'll be notified at 80%, 90%, 95%, and 100% usage. Once your allowance is used, new leads pause until the next billing cycle. You can purchase prepaid credit bundles at any time to continue tracking. Credit bundles offer volume discounts.

Can I change my subscription plan at any time?

Yes, you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Upgrades are pro-rated for the remainder of the current billing cycle. All billing is month-to-month.
